Find a 3D printer. To get started, you can check out your local library, school, maker space or community center.
Connect to the computer or mobile device servicing the 3D printer. Load your 3D file. You can often use a free browser-based program like Tinkercad to edit and/or submit your design to the 3D printer.
Send the 3D file (often an .STL file) and wait for your 3D print. (Some libraries or other public spaces request you send the facilitator the files to print and then they notify you when it’s complete.)
